2010-07-02 Inland Water Navigation Inspectorate is connected to Maritime Safety Administration
Starting from 1 July 2010 State Inland Water Navigation Inspectorate became a part of Lithuanian Maritime Safety Administration.

The Paris MoU Committee adopted new performance list for flag States.
2008-07-15 Armed forces will coordinate rescue operations
On the 1st of January 2009 the amendments of the Law on Maritime Safety of the Republic of Lithuania will enter into force, therefore the Maritime Rescue Co-ordination Center will be transferred to the Naval Force of Lithuanian Armed Forces.
2008-07-14 Lithuania remains in the “Grey list”
The Paris MoU Committee adopted new performance list for flag States. This list will take effect from 1 July 2008.
