Navigational Warnings and Notices to Mariners

Navigational warnings - in this part of our website urgent information relevant to safe navigation within Lithuanian territorial waters and Lithuanian ports is being published. Collected navigational information from different sources the division of Hydrography and aids to navigation (DHAN) of Lithuanian maritime safety administration (LMSA) checks and broadcasts via NAVTEX service, publishes on website of LMSA and sends to concerned authorities by fax or email. Navigational warnings are temporary and remain in force until cancelled.

Notices to mariners - in this part of our website bulletins “Notices to mariners” are being published. They are being issued quarterly by DHAN. Bulletin consists of three chapters - “General information”, “Updates to navigational charts”, “Updates to navigational issues”. The first chapter consists of Notices to mariners that have been prepared on a basis of all navigational warnings issued during last quarter. The second chapter consists of Notices to mariners to be used for updating of navigational charts. The last chapter includes Notices to mariners to be used for updating of navigational issues, for example “List of Lithuanian aids to navigation”. “Navigational note” is the last page of bulletin. This note provides the form of report to be used to notify the DHAN about discovered dangers for shipping and inoperative aids to navigation.
