Navigational warnings - urgent information relevant to safe navigation within Lithuanian waters and ports is being published in this part of our website. Collected and then varified navigational information from different sources the Division of Hydrography and Aids to Navigation (DHAN) of Lithuanian Maritime Safety Administration (LMSA) broadcasts via NAVTEX service, publishes on website of LMSA and sends to concerned authorities by email or fax. Navigational warnings are temporary and remain in force until cancellation or as long as information, which was in navigational warning, will be moved into Notices to mariners.
Notices to mariners - bulletins “Notices to mariners” are being published in this part of our website. They are being issued quarterly by DHAN. Bulletin consists of three chief chapters: General information, Updates to navigational charts and Updates to navigational issues. The first chapter consists of Notices to mariners that have been prepared on a basis of all navigational warnings issued during last quarter. The second chapter consists of Notices to mariners to be used for updating of navigational charts. The last chapter includes Notices to mariners to be used for updating of navigational issues, for example “List of Lithuanian aids to navigation”. “Navigational note” is the last page of bulletin. This note provides the form of report to be used to notify the DHAN about discovered dangers for shipping and inoperative aids to navigation.
Every calendar year is issued the Annual Notice to Mariners "Shipping Regulations" covering the information due protection of human life at sea, provision for assistance to vessels in distress, etc.
