Ship's Deletion from the Register

The owner of the ship applying for ship’s deletion from the Register of Seagoing Ships of the Republic of Lithuania shall submit the following documents to the Lithuanian Maritime Safety Administration:

 

1. Application to delete a ship specifying the reason.

2. The original documents (duplicates if they were issued): Certificate of ships' registration at the Register of Seagoing Ships of the Republic of Lithuania, Permit to fly Lithuania's State flag and the original of the Minimum Safe Manning document shall be returned within 14 working days as of the day of ship’s deletion.

 

Deleting a mortgaged ship, the provisions of parts 1 and 2 of article of the Merchant Sipping Law of the Republic of Lithuania shall be followed.The Lithuanian Maritime Safety Administration having received the documents specified in paragraph 30 of the Regulations on Registration of Seagoing Ships of the Republic of Lithuania, shall delete a ship from the Register of Seagoing Ships of the Republic of Lithuania no later than within 5 working days and issue the Certificate of Deletion from the Register of Seagoing Ships of the Republic of Lithuania.
