The main tasks and activities of the Hydrographic and Aids to Navigation Division are:
–  compile the State hydrographic picture at seaports, territorial sea waters and exclusive
    economic zone of the Republic of Lithuania, publish hydrographic data;
–  compile navigational charts and update them regularly;
–  publish information on any changes of navigational conditions;
–  aquire data for nautical publications;
–  construct, operate and maintain Aids to Navigation servicing public waterways, provide
    navigational information;
–  carry out navigational marking of public waterways;
–  perform state supervision of marking, maintenance and operation of public waterways.
