Significant wave heights

                 Sea areas and corresponding significant wave heights

NOTE
The figures, presenting the significant wave heights which are not exceeded by a probability of more than 10% on a yearly basis for the different sea areas are provided on chart, as required by Article 5 of EU directive 2003/25/EC (implemented by Order of Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania No. 3-42, adopted February 1, 2006). The chart should be used by ro-ro ships engaged on international voyages to and from Lithuanian ports.

Sea areas under jurisdiction of the Republic of Lithuania and corresponding significant wave heights

NOTE
The figures, presenting the significant wave heights in sea areas under jurisdiction of the Republic of Lithuania are provided on chart, as required by Article 4 (2) of Council Directive 98/18/EC of 17 March 1998 on safety rules and standards for passenger ships (as amended by Directive 2003/24/EC) (implemented by Order of Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania No. 3-87 concerning the approval of the Rules of safe shipping of passenger ships, adopted on 6 February 2004 by the Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania). The chart should be used by passenger ships engaged on domestic voyages to and from Lithuanian ports.
